This is it folks, this is the year, I am going to do the impossible. I'm motivated, inspired, excited and scared to death. But let's see if I can accomplish these two things.
- Pay off the sewer loan ASAP
- Pay off the studio loan by the end of September
These are my two main goals in the financial department.
Now how am I going to accomplish this? Well by setting smaller goals and trimming the fat from the old budget. ( a little from myself would also be nice)
Financial Goals for the month of January
- Only buy the groceries I need and not stock up on anything. I will buy fresh veggies, fruit,and dairy. Everything else will be made at home.
- I will have as many no spend days as I can this month.
- Use cash instead of checks and the cc, as I spend less and I can save the change in my pig bank for next Christmas
- Try to mark off as many box's on my save $1000.00 paper. When it is full put it on the sewer loan (You can download this from the Blog Medium sized family)
I love to shop and I feel that I need to take mom out every day for exercise. I love a bargain and it is a nice way to plan ahead for Christmas, but this month I will not do that. It is going to be hard. One day at a time. ( I could get mom to spend her money:))
Monday money saving madness:
1. Purchased 7 rolls of Christmas paper 75% off for next year
2. Used Joanns coupons to purchase things for shop and project
3. cooked all meals at home
4. said no to myself several times about buying after Christmas things I did not need!
5. planned ahead to set goals to cut back on spending ( without a plan you fail)
6. continued to work on my wax wraps so see what works and what doesn't. I will unveil these soon when I figure out how to use this new phone....
7.Getting sick again along with Hub's saved money as we did not go any where and our prescriptions were paid for by insurance.
8. redid cell phone contract to eliminate insurance and also mom's phone lowering bill by $30.00
9.Insisted that daughter get her own car insurance now that she is 25 and her rates will be better lowering insurance by $50.00.
10.Did all my usual things to prevent waste, reusing containers, feeding scraps to chickens,coupons where useful.
So onto a great year, of achieving things that I never thought were possible.
