Janet Jackson hit the stage LAST NIGHT at this years Essence Festival! The show was hosted in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Mercedes Benz Superdome! The legendary & effortless ICON headlined the annual music event which kicked off on Thursday, July 5 - Sunday, July 8th! Janet was honored by Essence Magazine and of course given the Cover of July's issue complete with a FABULOUS photo shoot with her and her fierce dancers! Janet's showstopping performance of her STATE OF THE WORLD 2 TOUR show was complete with hit tracks, flawless choreography & a direct messages to detractors! Janet is 52 years old and STILL sliced the stage up in 1 BILLION pieces and then stands there and says "Do You Like My Style?"
The week leading up to this years Essence Festival for Janet was marked by the suddenly death of her Father Joseph Jackson. The Jackson Family Patriarch and Music Manager was buried just a few days before her show! Janet indeed forged on hit the stage but also found a special way to pay homage and honor her Dad and show him immense love and respect!
