I often include a lot of makeup looks in my eyeshadow reviews, but then forget to post similar ones separately. So I have a feeling like my Makeup page is lacking some of my all time favorite makeup looks. One of these I'm showing your today. Brown is my all time favorite eye shadow shade. I also adore golden everything and golden greens are among the ones as well. In today's tutorial I've combined both.
I started my eye makeup by applying eye primer and going over it with a bone colored matte shade to set it. Then I used a mixture of light orange brown and a bit darker warmer brown. I applied this in the crease, but made it darker in the outer corner. I used a medium matte brown and deepened the crease as well as applied it on the outer and inner corner. I left space in the middle out.
Then I used darker rich olive toned shade with golden sheen and applied it again in the outer corner and inner corner, but left out center lid. I also tried not to cover all the matte brown. In the center I applied lighter golden green to give the eyes that ombre effect and make them seem more dimensonal. I love how that halo of light beams through the center. On the bottom lash line I did the same thing.
Here comes my favorite part, that really pulls it all together. Instead of using regular black liquid liner, I chose warm brown which makes this look even warmer and dreamier. I also curled my lashes and applied lots of mascara. In the inner corner I applied a bit of yellow gold shade, but not too bright to take away from the bright center lid. I also applied a creamy nude pencil under the brow to make it stand out a bit.
These sort of rich warm shades will look especially nice with warm eye shades like brown or hazel eyes. It accentuates the warmth of eye color and makes it look almost dreamy.
On the rest of my face I applied liquid foundation, concealer and powder. I also like a bit of warm bronzed look with such warm eye makeup, so I applied bronzer all over. It makes it look really cohesive. For highlighter I opted for something warm golden, but still light enough for my skin tone. Blush should look really subtle and warm, so I used brown based peachy shade.
I didn't want lips to compete with the eyes, so I used a light brown nude shade. It really is all about brown and green. Those are some of my all time favorite eye shadow shades and I think they suit my eye and hair color well. To me it looks like a sunlit forest when everything has a hint of yellow in it.
